Summer is in full swing in Charlotte, and this week delivers one of the most action-packed lineups of the season. The U.S. National Whitewater Center is launching Independence Day weekend festivities with live music and Saturday night fireworks over the Catawba River. River Jam continues its free concert series every Friday and Saturday. Charlotte FC takes on Nashville SC at Bank of America Stadium on Wednesday, and the Charlotte Knights host a weekend homestand with fireworks at Truist Field. Add in farmers markets across the city, jazz at Middle C, trivia at Optimist Hall, and a Carolina Renaissance Festival preview — and you've got a week that proves why Charlotte is one of the best cities in the Southeast for things to do.
