Tame Impala brings two nights of psychedelic brilliance to Spectrum Center this weekend, the MLS All-Star Game on Wednesday brings MLS vs. Liga MX to Bank of America Stadium, Toto with Christopher Cross and The Romantics plays Tuesday at the amphitheater, John Mellencamp hits the stage Thursday, and Hilary Duff with La Roux headlines Saturday. River Jam runs Friday and Saturday at the Whitewater Center, the Charlotte Knights are home all week, and Queen's Feast Restaurant Week enters its final weekend. Plus: peak-season farmers markets all weekend.

Charlotte has been buzzing about this week for months and for good reason. The MLS All-Star Game on Wednesday is the biggest single sporting event to hit Bank of America Stadium this summer, and the entire city is leaning into it. Beyond the All-Star festivities, Tame Impala brings two nights of psychedelic live production to Spectrum Center on Saturday and Sunday, Toto with Christopher Cross and The Romantics lights up the amphitheater on Tuesday, John Mellencamp delivers heartland rock classics on Thursday, and Hilary Duff with La Roux headlines Saturday at the Truliant Amphitheater. Melanie Martinez opens the week at Spectrum Center on Monday, River Jam runs Friday and Saturday at the Whitewater Center, the Charlotte Knights are home against Gwinnett all week, and Queen's Feast Restaurant Week enters its final weekend. If you only have time for one week of Charlotte summer events, this is it.

MLS NEXT All-Star Game

The future of soccer takes center stage at the Sportsplex as the top youth MLS NEXT players compete in the MLS NEXT All-Star Game. A great family-friendly introduction to All-Star Week, with young players showcasing the talent that will define the next generation of American soccer. Free to attend.
Toto with Christopher Cross & The Romantics

Three iconic acts from the 1970s and 80s share the stage for one unforgettable summer night. Toto brings "Africa," "Rosanna," and "Hold the Line." The biggest soccer event of the year in Charlotte. The 2026 MLS All-Star Game brings the best of Major League Soccer against the best of Liga MX at Bank of America Stadium. Charlotte has been buzzing about this event for months. Expect a packed stadium, electric atmosphere, and a national spotlight on the Queen City. Tickets from $56 via Ticketmaster. John Mellencamp
Truliant Amphitheater — 707 Pavilion Blvd, University City
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Mellencamp brings his catalog of heartland rock anthems to the amphitheater. Alternative rock band aurorawave brings their atmospheric sound to The Music Yard in South End. Known for building a devoted following through their dynamic live shows and layered, cinematic studio work. An intimate evening at one of Charlotte's best outdoor music venues.
River Jam — Friday Night Concert

David Ramirez at The Evening Muse
The Evening Muse — 3227 N Davidson St, NoDa
Singer-songwriter David Ramirez brings his raw, confessional folk-rock to one of NoDa's most beloved intimate venues. Known for his deeply personal lyrics and powerful live performances, Ramirez is a must-see for fans of honest songwriting. A perfect date night in the arts district.
Charlotte Knights vs. Gwinnett Stripers — Thirsty Thursday
Truist Field — 324 S Mint St, Uptown
The Knights start a new homestand against the Gwinnett Stripers with Thirsty Thursday. Dollar drafts and a relaxed ballpark atmosphere. Minor league baseball at its most fun, just steps from the Uptown bars. The homestand runs through the weekend.
Charlotte Knights vs. Gwinnett Stripers — Friday Fireworks

Friday night baseball followed by the Knights' weekly fireworks show. One of the best ways to end the work week. Affordable tickets, cold beer, and fireworks lighting up the Uptown skyline.
Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors

Blumenthal Performing Arts' production of Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors continues its run at the Booth Playhouse through August 9. A hilarious, fast-paced retelling of the classic horror story. Part comedy, part theater spectacle. Perfect for a date night or a fun evening Uptown.

Charlotte Knights vs. Gwinnett Stripers — Saturday Night

Saturday night baseball under the lights at Truist Field. The Knights continue their homestand against the Stripers with a festive weekend atmosphere, craft beer, and the intimate ballpark experience. Post-game fireworks expected.

The Knights wrap their homestand with a Sunday afternoon game. A relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with affordable tickets and afternoon sunshine. Perfect for a lazy summer weekend.
Saturday Farmers Markets — Peak Season

Peak-season farmers markets across the metro: Charlotte Regional Farmers Market (8 AM–5 PM, 1801 Yorkmont Rd), Uptown Farmers Market (8 AM–12:30 PM, 300 S Davidson St), South End Farmers Market at Atherton (8 AM–1 PM, 2000 South Blvd), Kings Drive Farmers Market (7 AM–3 PM, 939 S Kings Dr), Cotswold Farmers Market (8 AM–12 PM, 4921 Randolph Rd), and Matthews Farmers Market (8 AM–12 PM, 188 N Trade St). NC peaches, tomatoes, sweet corn, watermelon, and okra are at their absolute peak. The Charlotte Regional and Uptown markets are the largest and best for variety.
River Jam — Saturday Night Concert

Saturday night River Jam continues at the Whitewater Center with another headlining act. Daytime activities include whitewater rafting, zip lines, and mountain biking, then the music kicks off in the evening. Free admission, $13 parking.

This is the can't-miss show of the week. Tame Impala's live production is legendary. A psychedelic light and sound experience that transcends the normal concert. Two nights at Spectrum Center means two chances to catch it. Djo opens both shows. If you only go to one concert this summer, make it this one.
Queen's Feast Restaurant Week (Final Weekend through Aug 2)
This is the last weekend to take advantage of Charlotte Restaurant Week. 120+ restaurants offering prix fixe dinners for $30-$55. I love using this as an excuse to explore neighborhoods I don't visit often. Our dining scene is incredible, and this is a great way to experience it.
Toto at Truliant Amphitheater (Tuesday, July 28)
