Nelly with Ja Rule , The Where The Party At Tour
Two of the biggest names in 2000s hip-hop and R&B share the stage for one night at the Truliant Amphitheater. Expect "Hot in Herre," "Ride Wit Me," "Air Force Ones," "Always on Time," "Livin' It Up," and "Mesmerize" , a full catalog of early-2000s anthems that defined a generation. Arcángel , Sentimiento, Elegancia y Maldad Tour
Puerto Rican reggaeton and Latin trap superstar Arcángel brings his "Sentimiento, Elegancia y Maldad" tour to Charlotte. With two decades of hits including "Me Prefieres a Mí," "Diles," "Pa' Que la Pases Bien," and "Por Amar a Ciegas," Arcángel is one of the most influential figures in Latin urban music. The Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre is an intimate outdoor venue in the Music Factory district , expect a high-energy, dancing-in-the-aisles crowd.
The Lumineers , Brightside Tour
Grammy-nominated folk-rock band The Lumineers bring their Brightside Tour to Charlotte for a Thursday night show under the stars. The Uptown Farmers Market runs every Saturday through December 12, and September is prime transition season , you'll find the last of summer's tomatoes and peaches alongside the first apples, winter squash, pumpkins, and cool-weather greens. Vendors offer fresh-baked bread, local honey, farm-fresh eggs, artisan cheese, and seasonal flowers. It's a relaxed, family-friendly market with live music some weekends. Free admission and parking.
Charlotte Regional Farmers Market
The Charlotte Regional Farmers Market is open year-round, and September is one of the best months to visit. You'll find peak-season produce from local farms alongside artisan goods, plants, and prepared foods. The market is massive , multiple buildings and outdoor vendor areas , and it's the best place in the city to stock up on local produce in bulk. Free admission.
Fall Season at the U.S. National Whitewater Center
The Whitewater Center transitions into its fall operations with all activities still fully open: whitewater rafting and kayaking on the man-made river channel, zip line adventures, rock climbing, mountain biking on 30+ miles of trails, and a high ropes course. September and October are arguably the best months to visit , the summer crowds thin out, the temperatures drop into the pleasant 70s, and the trail running and mountain biking conditions are ideal. The on-site restaurant, bar, and outdoor seating areas remain open. Day pass pricing applies.

Young Thug , Met Gala Tour
Atlanta rap superstar Young Thug brings his "Met Gala Tour" to Bojangles' Coliseum for a Friday night show. One of the most influential and unconventional voices in hip-hop, Young Thug delivers a catalog that includes "The London," "Hot," "Pick Up the Phone," "Go Crazy," and "Lifestyle." Bojangles' Coliseum is a classic mid-century venue with great sightlines and a more intimate feel than the amphitheater. Expect a high-energy, style-forward show.
FoodieLand Food Festival
FoodieLand rolls into the Charlotte Motor Speedway for a massive three-day food festival with 250+ vendors, global flavors, artisan food shops, games, and live entertainment. This is one of the largest food festivals in the region , you'll find everything from Korean tacos and lobster rolls to tamales, bao buns, artisan donuts, gourmet grilled cheese, and international street food from every continent. Bring your appetite and expect lines at the most popular vendors. Tickets from around $12.84; kids under 5 free. Parking is free. This is the biggest food event of the fall season in the Charlotte metro.
Maker's Market CLT
The weekly Maker's Market CLT returns to Fonta Flora Brewery in NoDa for a Friday evening artisan market. Shop local makers, artists, and craft vendors while enjoying Fonta Flora's excellent farmhouse ales and lagers. The market takes place in the brewery's outdoor space adjacent to Optimist Hall, one of Charlotte's best food halls. Grab dinner from Optimist Hall's vendors (including Bao and Broth, Dumplings, and Pizzeria Omaggio), then browse the market stalls. A perfect Friday evening in NoDa.
Goodnight, Texas , Live at The Evening Muse
San Francisco-based folk-rock duo Goodnight, Texas plays an intimate Saturday night show at The Evening Muse in NoDa. Known for their warm harmonies, storytelling lyrics, and acoustic-driven indie folk sound, they're a perfect fit for one of Charlotte's best intimate live music venues. The Evening Muse is a staple of the NoDa music scene , a small, candlelit room with excellent sound that puts you right up close to the artists. Tickets around $15–$20.
Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons , Away Game Watch Parties
The Carolina Panthers travel to Atlanta for their Week 2 matchup against the Falcons, but Charlotte's sports bars and breweries will be packed with fans for watch parties. Top spots to catch the game include VBGB (Beer Garden and Grill) in the Music Factory with its massive outdoor screens, All-American Pub in Uptown, and the Buffalo Wild Wings locations across the metro. Many breweries , including Sycamore Brewing in South End and NoDa Brewing Company , show Sunday NFL games with beer specials and a lively game-day atmosphere.
Duke's Mayo Classic , Charlotte Hosts
The Duke's Mayo Classic college football neutral-site games return to Bank of America Stadium in September.
