New Restaurants in
Charlotte.
Fall 2026 is shaping up to be Charlotte's biggest restaurant season yet. A Michelin Guide-recommended steakhouse opens in South End on October 1, a Chicago favorite lands at Queensbridge Collective, and new concepts keep arriving in Plaza Midwood, Montford, and across the SC line. Here is your guide to the newest Charlotte restaurants worth knowing about.
This is the fall 2026 edition of the New Restaurants in Charlotte guide. New restaurants opening in Charlotte NC this season range from a 10,000-square-foot steakhouse in South End to a health-forward fast-casual spot at Queensbridge Collective, plus a highly anticipated concept taking over the old Good Food on Montford space. If you are moving to Charlotte or just visiting for the weekend, these are the tables to know about.
South End remains the hottest dining corridor in the metro, but the action is spreading: Plaza Midwood, Myers Park, Montford Drive, Uptown, and the South Carolina border towns of Fort Mill and Indian Land are all getting major new restaurants. The dining scene is now a genuine reason people choose to call Charlotte home, and this fall proves it.
Guard & Grace
The most anticipated opening of the Charlotte fall season: Guard & Grace debuts Thursday, October 1 in South End, the third location of chef Troy Guard's Michelin Guide-recommended steakhouse after Denver and Houston. The 10,224-square-foot space includes a 750-bottle wine room, multiple private dining rooms, and a 2,000-square-foot terrace. Expect the brand's signature steaks, seafood towers, and craft cocktails in one of the biggest new restaurant spaces South End has seen in years.

FARE's menu is built around seed-oil-free and refined-sugar-free cooking: hearty salads, grain bowls, and protein plates with a house-made dressing bar. It is a fresh, health-forward addition to the South End dining scene and an easy stop before or after a Rail Trail walk.

For Fort Mill and Tega Cay residents, it is now the closest pitmaster fix without crossing the state line.
