Fall Festival Scene.
Fall for Matthews 2026, hosted by the Matthews Area Chamber of Commerce, fills Stumptown Park and downtown Matthews on Saturday, October 10, from 10 AM to 4 PM. Think arts and crafts vendors, festival food, live music, and kids' activities under the big oaks of one of the region's favorite small towns. It is free to wander, and it is Matthews at its most charming. Here is the plan.

What makes this festival special?
The Chamber stacks this one with local makers and musicians in the heart of downtown Matthews. Stumptown is the town's festival park, and October is its best month.
Arts & Crafts Vendors
A full row of local artists and makers set up under the park canopy with paintings, pottery, textiles, and handmade goods.
Live Music
Local acts play through the afternoon, giving the park a festival soundtrack.
Festival Food
Food vendors and trucks cover lunch, snacks, and the occasional funnel cake.
Kids' Activities
Games and activities keep the under-12 crowd busy while the grown-ups shop the booths.
How much does it cost?
The festival is free to attend, hosted by the Matthews Area Chamber of Commerce. Vendor purchases, food, and kids' activity wristbands (where offered) are the only costs. The Chamber publishes the final 2026 event page on its site, so check there for vendor lists and any updates before you go.

Downtown Matthews parking fills early; there are lots a short walk from the park.
October 10 also brings Clover's car show and Tega Cay's Music in the Park, so the whole region is festive.
Stay for lunch downtown; Matthews' Four East and Trade Street are some of the metro's best dining streets.
